I requested a grab bar in the shower as an ADA accommodation after my hip surgery. They said I could install one myself but would lose my deposit if it 'damaged the wall'. I gave up.

Moved out spotless. Three months later they kept the entire $2,400 deposit citing 'general carpet condition' with no itemized list. Photos and a copy of the move-in checklist do not seem to matter.

Move-in cost me $300 more than the lease said. There was a 'building amenity fee', a 'leasing administration charge', and a $9.99/month 'tech package' that I never opted into. Trying to dispute it on the resident portal sends you to a chat bot that just loops.

It took six emails to get a copy of my own lease. Eventually a regional rep mailed a printout that did not match the version I signed. The portal still shows the old version.

My address [REDACTED] and SSN [REDACTED] were shown on the resident portal under another tenant's profile for two days. They closed the ticket without a real explanation.

Renewal came with a 24% increase. Same house, same broken HVAC. The leasing rep just kept saying 'this is the market'.
