Prior authorization was supposed to be a narrow cost-control tool to ensure medical treatment is appropriate, but today Big Medicine insurers use it to delay and deny even medically necessary care.

The American Economic Liberties Project is a nonpartisan nonprofit that advocates banning prior authorization. We are collecting public comments from ordinary people to help policymakers and the public understand how prior authorization affects you.

We read every story but we can't give medical, legal, or insurance advice, or help resolve an individual denial. Please share only what you're comfortable with and do not include others' private medical information without their permission.
